Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory will host an intensive, two week course, “Advanced Sequencing Technologies & Bioinformatics Analysis,” from November 6 – 19, 2023. Obi Griffith and Malachi Griffith, from Washington University School of Medicine, Elaine Mardis, from Nationwide Children’s Hospital Research Institute and W. Richard McCombie, from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory will instruct students in the use and applications of massively parallel sequencing technologies, with a focus on data analysis and bioinformatics. The class will explore cloud-based computing as well as the detailed operation of several short- and long-read platforms including:

  • library construction procedures
  • general data processing
  • in-depth data analysis
