The Center for Sorghum Improvement (CSI) is hosting a virtual seminar given by Jesse Tack, Professor Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University on Wednesday, January 24 at 11:00 AM CT. The title of the talk is “Quantifying Heat Stress for Sorghum and Maize using Large-scale Crop Yield Data from Kansas Farms.” The focus of the talk is on leveraging the over 20 years of on-farm yield data to better understand the advantages of methods used to offset the damage of heat stress, such as crop switching and/or irrigation, in both dryland (rainfed) and irrigated production systems. For information on this and future seminars visit the seminar webpage.
