The Center for Sorghum Improvement (CSI) is hosting a virtual seminar given by Brian Rice, Assistant Professor, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, University of Nebraska–Lincoln on Tuesday, April 23 at 11:00 AM CT. The title of his talk is “Rapid Transfer of Knowledge Between Genetics and Breeding for Simultaneous Trait Delivery and Genetic Gain.” In his talk, he will discuss conducting the dissection of important agronomic traits in dynamic populations, rather than soley in static populations such as diversity panels. Using this framework, he will elucidate the genetic architecture of resistance to the Sorghum Aphid (SA). For information on this and future seminars visit the CSI seminar webpage.
