The Agricultural Genome to Phenome Initiative (AG2PI) is hosting a virtual field day entitled “Digital Tools for Agriculture Research – AG2PI “Coconut” Grant Outcomes” on April 24 from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM CT. The meeting will highlight two “cocunut” (large seed) grant projects. Dr. Trevor Rife, from Clemson University, will discuss increasing support for additional image sources in the Field Book app while overhauling how images are stored to increase stability and speed in his project, “Development of robust imaging systems in Field Book.” Following this, Dr. Jinha Jung, Benjamin Hancock and Dr. Minyoung Jung, from Purdue University, will present their project, “Data to Science (D2S) – Open Source Online Platform for UAS HTP Data Management,” in which they introduce D2S, an open-source cyberinfrastructure created to empower agricultural research scientists to collaborate with researchers with diverse backgrounds without geographical limitations. Registration is required. For more information and to register for the meeting visit the field day website.
