The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Office of National Programs (ONP) invites applications for a permanent, full time National Program Leader (NPL) in Plant Health to provide national and international leadership in coordinating agricultural research programs relating to diseases of agronomic and horticultural crops. Responsibilities include developing interdisciplinary research strategies to meet ARS missions and goals, coordinating ARS research in the fields of plant health and diseases within and outside the USDA, maintaining dynamic communication with stakeholders and scientists, and planning scientific initiatives at all scales to achieve impact on major plant health concerns.
This position is within the Crop Production and Protection (CPP) division at ONP at the George Washington Carver Center in Beltsville, MD and is not eligible for remote work. The salary range is $163,964 to $191,900 per year. A comprehensive Federal benefits package is available.
